For our education episode, we decided we teach you a few things. We picked teaching you how to play the ukulele. Here you go!

Hello, Cornelius Strummington-Artsy here, and today I'm going to teach you how to play the most flippant of instruments; the ukulele! In five simple steps.

Step 1: Catch your ukulele. Your ukuele is a sprightly blighter. He'll no sooner be heard down some dark alleyway, and then he's gone! Creep up slowly. Be sure to wear a Hawaiin shirt so as to lull him into a false sense of security. Then, pounce!

Step 2: Tune your ukulele. Ukuleles are delicate little dandies. Apply an electric tuner if you're less a man than me. I like to learn my ears alone. Perfect pitch, don't you know?

Step 3: Tame your ukulele. As well as being delicate, they can sense fear a mile off. Ensure you grip your ukulele with purpose, placing your fingers correctly or the desired call. Get it wrong, and the ukulele will howl like your grandma when there's no sherri left.

Step 4: Strum your ukulele. After finding the right cords to play, make sure you actually play them. This is a step many beginners forget, instead deciding to stroke their ukulele like a small cat. It is not a cat. Or, if it is, it's a mangy rabid one that will bite you. Show it who is the boss.

Step 5: After playing, the shut the awful thing in a box. No one wants to hear it.

So, if you follow my five steps, you'll be a top ukulelist in no time at all. This is Cornelius Strummington-Artsy, for the Norfolk Storytelling Project, signing off. Until next time, farewell!
