DIGGY NEW MUSIC
uploadedOne of my most favorite combination is Kishore/RD/Anand Bakhshi. When this song came to my thoughts yesterday I thought would I be that lucky to find its track no matter good or so so...and I found one reinforced with keyboard rhythm. The female chorus part before the 2nd stanza is not so well synchronized but provides enough nostalgia to continue singing. When we like something in the song we often say "Out of the World" but for RD I feel he never went beyond the world and demonstrated what beauty is still left in music that can be shown to music lovers and enthusiasts. I adore his compositions but his interludes I have no words. His interludes are so well connected with the song they do not represent a drastic or a weird change from the rest of the song. What a great composer he was. I sang and mixed it yesterday and presenting it here for friends hoping you will enjoy this lovely song. Original Singer: Kishore Kumar Music Director: R.D. Burman Lyricist: Anand Bakhshi Film: Paraya Dhan (1971)
uploadedBlood and Glass and filmmaker Nick Snyder won the Silver Sound Showdown Music + Video Festival 5 (www.silversoundshowdown.com), and were paired up to work on a new music video produced by Silver Sound (www.silversound.us). "Paper Heart" was selected as the song for the music video, and is also a track on Blood and Glass's new album Museum With No Walls. Silver Sound Showdown 6 has a call for bands and music videos open until Nov 15, 2014. To submit your band or music video, go to www.silversoundshowdown.com -- Electro-noir mixed with experimental rock, Blood And Glass creates a sound that embellishes you in a dreamy world. With lush, beautiful swells, crisp sampled sonics, and lyrics that paint images in your brain, Blood and Glass is fronted by an eccentric woman who has been described by journalists as the missing link between Grimes and Tom Waits. The songs are catchy and moody at once, taking you on a carnival ride through a glow-in-the-dark forest. As one song ends, Lisa Moore takes off her magic hat and bows into a world of noise rock, the band triggering Godspeed-like moments before starting the next, picturesque song. Formed in Montreal first by Lisa alone, then Morgan Moore joined her ship and the two were married, Blood And Glass have been making music with wonderful musicians from Robbie Kuster to Patrick Watson to Simon and Erika Angell from Thus Owls during live shows and on their debut album, “Museum With No Walls,” that was just released on October 21st, 2014. Paper Heart song credits: composed by Lisa Iwanycki-Moore Produced by Morgan Moore Mixed by: Dan Cinellie and Morgan Moore Engineer: Dan Cinelli At: Planet Studios Mastered by: Hans-Olsson Brookes MUSICIANS: Lisa Iwanycki-Moore: vocals, synths Morgan Moore: Bass, samples Robbie Kuster: drums, bells, percussion Melanie Belair: Violin Simon Angell: Guitar
uploadedSazaa 1951. Four Lata Mangeshkar solos — “Tum na jaane kis jahan mein kho gaye”, “Dhak dhak dhak”, “Ho gayee main teri ho gayee”, “Hum pyar ki baazi hare”; her duet with Talat Mahmood, the Sandhya Mukherjee solo, “Oh roopnagar ke saudagar”, and Sandhya's duet with Hemant Kumar, “Aa gup chup gup chup pyar kare” — all have thoughtful lyrics that provide a sense of permanency through S.D. Burman's immortal compositions. The 150-minute black and white film was produced by G.P. Sippy and directed by ace cinematographer Fali Mistry who later also directed Dev Anand in “Armaan” (1953) and lensed all his directorial ventures till “Des Pardes”.
