I remember this song from around 1964-65 times when a commercial used to air on Radio Pakistan Karachi. It was quite catchy as it started with an artists voice singing "Tasveer Banata Hoon Tasveer Nahin Banti" and then another voice from the background is heard saying "Deer pencil istemal kijiye zarur banegi". Being a young school goer I was also into making pictures and drawings and I also thought there must be some magic in those pencils so I bought them too. What a time that was even the ads were reflective of that. Despite a ban on Indian songs from the government this commercial was played and I wondered why this song was excluded. It turned out that its composer Nashad now lives in Pakistan so the government might have also believed that Pakistani people have some rights to this song too. Though I was young but I had already began to appreciate and admire Talat Mehmood songs.

The percussion in this karaoke track with Dheeng Tak-a-Tuk sound was so strong and loud that I had to work around quite a bit to mellow it down but it still is sharp but not as annoying. A three year old recording that I felt I can share it now...hope you all enjoy it.
