Thank you Anand Ji for reminding this song and sharing its track. A very melodious song that despite carrying sad lyrics makes us feel so good. A song that should have been much longer in duration considering the number of stanzas it has. This is a Rafi/Geeta Dutt duet from 1956 film Choomantar. Since I was already familiar with this song all I had to do was listen the original and write down the lyrics. A traditional oldie, nothing extra special in it. All stanzas have same melody but listeners can make out which one of the 5 stanzas is female. I have sung a solo cover. The track is a bit faster in tempo than original making it a bit less sad than the original. Hope friends enjoy this cover.
