If It'll Make U Happy is a song recorded on 6 April 1982 at Sunset Sound in Hollywood, California (one day after 3 x 2 = 6). The song was recorded for possible inclusion on 1999, but it is not known if it was included on any configurations of the album.

During Prince: A Celebration in June 2000, computer screens at Paisley Park Studios offered names of a selection of tracks which users could vote on for inclusion on Crystal Ball Volume II, and If It'll Make U Happy was included in the list of 22 tracks, it was not one of the 17 tracks chosen by fans, and the project was ultimately abandoned.

The song was released in 2019 as a track on one of the bonus discs with the deluxe edition of the 1999 album.
